Kato Masaru is involved in a subway accident. The next moment, he finds himself in an apartment building.
There, he meets the Tokyo team, devastated by the loss of their leader, Kurono.
He is then teleported from the GANTZ room to the streets of Osaka, where a mysterious phenomenon has erupted, causing flames to erupt.
He encounters the Osaka team, a group of eccentric characters, and battles a powerful army of demon-like aliens known as the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons.
He meets Yamasaki Anzu, a member of the Osaka team who is a single mother who throws herself into the battle.
Though thrown into a series of shocking events,
Kato fights a life-or-death battle with the Tokyo and Osaka teams in order to return to his younger brother, his only family.
