Watch maintenance
It is recommended that mid- to high-end watches be maintained every two to three years, replacing waterproof components, testing travel time performance and movement power consumption, cleaning the movement, and maintaining the appearance. Such maintenance services will effectively extend the lifespan of your watch.
(1) When wearing a watch, the sweat on your hands is corrosive to the case. The all-steel case is made of nickel-chromium alloy, which has better corrosion resistance. The semi-steel case is made of copper, which is prone to corrosion due to long-term contact with sweat. It should be wiped off with a soft cloth or padded with a plastic watch holder to prevent it from being eroded by sweat.
(2) Do not open the back cover of the watch at will to avoid dust entering the movement and affecting the normal operation of the watch.

(4) Do not place the watch on a power amplifier, stereo, or TV to avoid magnetization.
(5) Watches that are not worn for long-term storage should be wound regularly once a month, and watches with automatic movements should be gently swung back and forth for a few minutes or worn on the wrist for a period of time to automatically wind up. Keep the parts from standing still for a long time to ensure the running performance of the watch machine.
(6) If an ordinary mechanical watch is damp, it can be pressed on the watch with dry cotton, and then baked with a 40-watt electric light bulb for 5 minutes, and all the moisture in the watch can be evaporated. If the quartz electronic watch is damp, you can take a few small pieces of calcium chloride and wrap it in gauze; then open the electronic watch cover, put the wrapped calcium chloride and the electronic watch into a non-leaking plastic bag or glass bottle, and seal it. Generally, it takes about 3 hours to remove the moisture, so that the electronic watch can return to normal. For watches with severe moisture, the moisture absorption time can be appropriately extended.
(7) When receiving a beloved watch and removing the outer packaging, be sure to keep the packaging box used to protect the watch. These protective packaging boxes can give the watch the safest protection when it is not usually worn, and avoid the watch being broken or collided. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to keep the packaging box. It is recommended to develop the habit of putting it in the box when not wearing the watch on weekdays, which can greatly reduce the chance of watch damage.
(8) It is usually best not to wear the same watch every day. You should prepare several different watches to be used alternately. In addition to enriching your personal style, you can also avoid dust and body scale being concentrated on the same watch. For leather straps, you should be more careful to avoid frequent wear and tear of the strap caused by daily use, so that even if the surface is new, the watch will look very old.
(9) Wear the watch on your wrist to sleep. If the watch is a luminous watch, it will have adverse effects on the body. This is because the luminous material coated on the pointer and dial of the luminous watch is mainly a mixture of radium and zinc sulfide. The rays emitted by radium can stimulate zinc sulfide crystals to emit light. When sleeping, if you wear the watch, the human body will be exposed to radium radiation for eight to nine hours, which is harmful to the human body. (10) The watch cover is refurbished. After the watch cover is marked with a lot of lines, you can put one or two drops of water on the watch cover first, and then squeeze a little toothpaste to wipe it, you can remove the lines and make the watch cover look new.
Note: Identification of copper cases
