Karl, a Munich University student, works part-time once a week reading Latin books for his father, Schubart. One day, when Schubart compliments his reading, Karl reveals that he is being taught by Johan. He then asks, "What would you do if Johann were your real son?" Seeing Schubart, who rarely smiles, smile, Karl becomes jealous of Johann... (Episode 2).
