Animals, what's going on on the farm?
A family game from the "Good game at a good price" series, which requires observation skills, the ability to count quickly to six, and reflexes. Time for great fun with the game "What's going on on the farm?" by Łukasz Woźniak, illustrated by Maciej Szymanowicz.
The game "What's going on on the farm?" is intended for players aged 6 and up. It's best for 2 to 5 players to play. It's best if the players are of similar age. If adults are playing, it's better if they demonstrate a slightly less perceptive skill than usual; then the game will be great fun for everyone, and not a source of frustration for the youngest players.
The box contains 24 double-sided cards with animal images and a dice. Each card depicts six types of animals, each appearing on a given card in numbers from 1 to 6, which is exactly the same as the number of dots on the die.
The result of the die roll will determine what players will look for on the card. The task is to find an animal depicted on a given card exactly as many times as the number of dots shown on the die roll.
Before playing, the cards are shuffled and placed in a pile in the center of the table. The cards are double-sided, so it doesn't matter which side they are on. The first player rolls the die so that everyone can see the number rolled.
Then, they remove the top card from the pile and place it on the table. Each player tries to find the animal on the card as quickly as possible that has been depicted as many times as the die shows.
The player who finds the correct animal signals this by making a sound typical of that animal. The cards depict a total of twelve different animals: a cow, a goose, a horse, a dog, a cat, a goat, a sheep, a chicken, a turkey, a frog, a bee, and a pig.
During the game, players will meow, bark, grunt, cluck, or whine, among other things. The first player to make the appropriate sound wins the card on the table. They then roll the dice and remove another card from the pile, and players try again to find the matching animal.
The game ends when all the cards are gone. The one who collects the most cards wins.
