The UV1 is the culmination of many years of research, experimentation, and development.

Designed to dramatically increase versatility and durability, this drumhead incorporates D'Addario's latest innovations. It's born from the fusion of a newly patented UV curing coating technology, a new film, and LEVEL360 Technology.

This UV coating stands apart from other common coatings, offering exceptional durability, making it a solution for drummers struggling with chipping, peeling, and wear.

The tone is almost identical to the G1, but it features a thinner, more uniform, and open sound than previous coatings. It offers particularly high responsiveness and increased nuance in brush playing.

Another key point is that the coating is applied only to the flat striking surface, excluding the bearing edge and the collar area that touches the hoop. This ensures that the head's vibration is not hindered, allowing for optimal resonance.

The new film features a warm tone character and is resistant to dents and stretching. Combined with UV coating and LEVEL360 Technology, the UV1 will be the most versatile and durable drumhead among existing 10mil heads.
