A B♭ clarinet that beginners can play with confidence. Made of ABS resin, it produces a warm and rich sound very similar to wood, and is resistant to heat and humidity, allowing for stable performance outdoors. The bell maintains high durability while eliminating the metal ring, resulting in a lighter weight and improved playability. The adjustable thumb rest with strap ring can be positioned to fit different hand sizes, making it comfortable even for those with small hands, and can be used for extended periods. Additionally, using a strap (sold separately) provides stable support for the instrument. A semi-hard case with a shoulder strap (integrated cover). It features a large pocket for convenient storage.

The Yamaha YCL-255 is a standard Bb clarinet designed for beginning and student players, built with Yamaha's proven combination of durability and ease of play. Its body and newly redesigned bell are made of solid ABS resin, keeping the instrument lightweight while improving response; a resonance chamber built into the bell enhances projection and intonation in the lower register. The attractive matte finish simulates the look of natural wood grain while offering the added durability of resin construction.

The 65mm barrel is based on high-end Yamaha clarinet designs for a focused, well-centered tone, and the instrument features nickel-plated silver keys with 17 keys and 6 rings. An adjustable thumb-rest accommodates different hand sizes to support proper playing technique, and a strap ring allows the clarinet to be held comfortably without extra strain; firmer screws and a silver-soldered ring give this feature excellent durability. Valentino pads are used throughout for greater durability, easier repair, and reduced sensitivity to temperature changes.

The YCL-255 ships with a Yamaha CL-4C mouthpiece, making it a complete, reliable choice for students starting out on clarinet.
