The U851RB Phantom Power Cardioid Condenser Boundary Microphone provides excellent sound clarity and transparent audio quality for high-quality sound reinforcement, professional recording, television, conferences, and other demanding sound pickup applications. The microphone features a PivotPoint rotating output connector, UniSteep filter, and UniGuard RFI shielding technology. It accepts interchangeable condenser elements and can be used with both hypercardioid and omnidirectional polar patterns separately. Heavy die-cast housing and silicone foam bottom pad minimize surface vibration coupling to the microphone. The U851RB is equipped with self-contained electronics and does not require an external power module. A screw-in insert at the bottom of the microphone allows for secure mounting. The U851RB Cardioid Condenser Boundary Microphone (Black) includes a TA3F to XLR male microphone cable (25 feet), a soft protective pouch, and is manufactured by Audio-Technica. Designed for surface-mount applications such as high-quality sound reinforcement, professional recording, television, and conferences, especially in challenging sound pickup situations. Features excellent off-axis rejection to achieve maximum gain before feedback. The PivotPoint rotating output connector allows the cable to be unplugged from the back or bottom of the microphone.
