While on his way to an evacuation center, he looked up at the sky and saw a "sky full of stars"—a sight rarely seen in the darkness of the blackout—and felt a glimmer of hope amidst his despair.
The ice show "Yuzuru Hanyu notte stellata" was created with the hope of "sending out 'hope' like the sky full of stars that illuminated the disaster-stricken area, and providing a catalyst for people to smile, even just a little."
