Brand Description
MILLET is the manufacturer that provided equipment for France's first Himalayan mountaineering expedition.
In 1950, the French expedition became the first people to summit an 8,000-meter peak. Millet's reputation, including the backpacks worn at the time, quickly spread worldwide. In 1978, Reinhold Messner, using Millet backpacks and clothing, became the first man to summit Everest without oxygen.
Two years later, Messner became the first man to solo the ascent of Everest without oxygen, and also the first man to reach the summits of all 14 8,000-meter peaks.
MILLET will continue to support the dreams of alpinism through its history. Brand Introduction
