Description

From the G-SHOCK watch, a watch that has been evolving in an endless pursuit of strength since its launch in 1983, this new model features a design inspired by the traditional Japanese art of origami. Origami evolved with the invention of durable and beautiful washi paper, and symbolizes the freedom of expression that allows anything to be created from paper. This spirit and craftsmanship are embodied in this G-SHOCK. From the bezel to the band, the unique design meticulously recreates the characteristics of origami. The bezel and band feature two types of dotted line patterns, "valley fold" and "mountain fold," characteristic of origami, and are finished with a texture inspired by Japanese paper. When the backlight is lit and on the case back, a crane symbol, a symbol of origami, is designed, expressing the infinite possibilities that can be created from a single piece of paper. In addition, in reference to the traditional Japanese art of origami, the watch is also carefully labeled "Made in Japan" and its production location. The packaging is also specially designed. * Biomass plastic is used for the main resin parts of the bezel and band. Using renewable organic resources as raw materials, it is expected to contribute to reducing environmental impact.
