K 67 Style Capsule: The K 67 capsule in the Stellar X3 is carefully hand-tuned. It provides better off-axis coloration and a smoother mid-range response than most K 67 style capsules.
Unique Capsule Design: The capsule is made from 3 micron Mylar as opposed to traditional 6 micron for added sensitivity, improving signal-to-noise ratio. Our gold sputtering process distributes gold consistently and evenly onto the Mylar.
High Pass Filter: Turn on High Pass to reduce the proximity effect when speaking into the microphone. Also reduces background noise such as murmurs.
- 10 dB Pad: This switch increases the microphone headroom. Engage this switch if you need to record loud sources without fear of clipping.
New Shockmount Design: The Star X3 features a brand new shockmount that is more reliable and, due to its spring-less design, it won't resonate with your recordings. This new shockmount can also reduce vibration more effectively.
Note: The Techzone Audio Products website provides installation instructions, video, and customer support phone numbers. Many low-cost condenser microphones have a harsh, bright sound. They can also cause ear pain after prolonged use. By contrast, the Stellar X2's recording tray and circuit board have been tuned to deliver superior sound quality and allow for effortless mixing. The custom-made, low-noise, transformerless JFET circuit uses high-quality components, such as German capacitors and tight-tolerance units. The K67 recording element uses a Japanese-made Mylar diaphragm, plated using special technology. This combination results in a microphone with high signal rejection, maintaining the original sound source, low noise, and balanced sound.
