Place the U-bolt face down and slide it so that it touches the surface of the hitch. 2. With the raised end facing away from the hitch, press the fastener plate onto the U-bolt. 3. Place the washer, lock washer, and nut on one side of the U-bolt. Hand-tighten the nut to hold the washer in place. 4. Tighten the nuts evenly until the metal plate is tightly attached to the stinger and hitch. Check the nuts periodically to ensure they are tight.
