SID formed in the spring of 2003. Their first album, "Ren'ai," was released in 2004. It debuted at #3 on the Oricon Indies Chart.
All concert tickets following the release sold out, quickly becoming a central band in the indie scene.
In 2005, they released the DVD+CD "paint pops," their second single "Sweet?", and their second album "Hoshi no Miyako." The 10,000 copies of the first limited edition were always sold out by pre-order only! SID's first nationwide tour, "SID 2005 Autumn Tour "Sweet?"," sold out all 10 shows in 10 cities across Japan! Their third single, "Hosoikoe," which kicked off 2006, debuted at #18 on the Oricon singles chart despite being an indie release with no tie-ups. In April, the "2006 Spring Special" concerts at Tokyo International Forum Hall A and Osaka Welfare Pension Hall were also sold out! In August, just three years after their formation, they successfully held a solo concert at Nippon Budokan! Their "chapter 1," the ending theme for the TBS TV program "CDTV," reached the Top 10 for the first time. Their latest single, "Otegami," also achieved consecutive Top 10 successes. The album "play," which includes the hit single, was released on November 8, 2006! The first two limited edition albums were released.
