With most previous cage-equipped SPD pedals, once the cleat is secured to the pedal, the rider's weight is no longer placed on the cage itself, so pedal hold on rough surfaces relies on the SPD's grip. The V-TWIN allows you to adjust the cage height to add grip from the outsole to the SPD's grip. Features: By adding the included spacers between the plastic bumpers, you can increase the height by up to 2mm (up to two can be used per location). This transfers full pedaling power to the cage. By removing the plastic bumpers, you can attach pedal pins via the included plate, improving pedal hold like a flat pedal. *Only compatible with the included plate. Pedal pins cannot be attached on top of the plastic bumpers. Includes cleats (5° floating), base height adjustment shim, and pedal pins. SPD compatible. Material: Aluminum (body), Chromoly (shaft).
