Introduction: The sixth volume of a selection of dynasty literature by modern authors features Dazai Osamu's "Military Minister Sanetomo." He is said to have devoted himself to writing during the war. About the author: Dazai was born as the sixth son of a large landowner in Tsugaru. After dropping out of the communist movement, he wrote his first collection of fiction, titled "Bannen" (1936), which he intended as a will. Dazai was 27 years old at the time. He is one of the few authors who continued his uncompromising creative work through the difficult period leading up to the Pacific War and until its end. After the war, his work "Shayo" (1947) caused a great sensation and attracted young readers (Aozora Bunko).
