"Fishing Freak Sanpei," the iconic manga about fishing, has been adapted into a game as part of the SIMPLE Character 2000 series. Just like the original, this game features a thrilling battle between human and fish.
The objective of the game is to reel in the "legendary fish" that appear in each stage. There are five stages in total, set in rivers and swamps that appear in the original, such as the Ou Mountains and Oppori Swamp. For example, in Oppori Swamp, you'll face the legendary fish known as the "Space Carp." The controls are simple: first, choose a fishing spot, cast your line, and wait for the fish to bite. After the fish is hooked, carefully watch its movements and weaken it by repeatedly pressing the button without breaking the line. The fish's stamina is displayed on the screen; once it reaches zero, you've reeled it in.
