It adds approximately 3 inches of extra height, allowing better mic placement, improved ergonomics, and more space for cable clearance.
With its 5/8" threaded design, it is compatible with many Shure microphones such as the BETA 56A, BETA 52A, SUPER 55, and 55SH Series II.
It is especially useful when the mic’s XLR connector and stand mounting point are too close together for direct attachment.
