Product Introduction
Aoshima's Waterline series has been renewed with even greater precision!
This month's renewal of the 1/700 Waterline series features three ships: the heavy cruiser "Maya," the midget submarine tender "Chiyoda," and the destroyer "Hatsuharu" as it appeared when completed in 1933!
The main guns, machine guns, and shipboard boats have been newly researched and designed.
By incorporating numerous sliding mechanisms into the molds, the intricate details of the 1/700 scale have been accurately reproduced.
We present to you the Waterline series, reborn with even greater precision.
The "Chiyoda," originally built as a seaplane tender like its sister ship Chitose, underwent repeated conversions into a midget submarine tender and then an aircraft carrier. This 1/700 scale plastic model kit depicts the "Chiyoda" in its converted form as a midget submarine tender capable of carrying and operating 12 "Type A" midget submarines.
With a parts configuration that focuses on key elements, it is simple, easy to assemble, and allows for accurate reproduction.
Various rigging parts such as anti-aircraft guns and machine guns have been newly designed and added.
It successfully expresses the precision and detail of 1/700 scale.
